Larry & Joe

Larry Bellorín, legend of Llanera music, & Joe Troop, GRAMMY-nominated bluegrass and oldtime musician, perform a fusion of Venezuelan and Appalachian folk music on harp, banjo, cuatro, fiddle, and whatever else they throw in the van. Their debut album, Nuevo South Train, was produced by jazz guitar icon Charlie icon and was self-released in March 2023.

CHe Apalache

Che Apalache is a four-man string band with members from Argentina, Mexico and the United States: Joe Troop (fiddle), Pau Barjau (banjo), Franco Martino (guitar) and Martin Bobrik (mandolin). Their most recent album, Rearrange My Heart (produced by banjo legend Béla Fleck) was nominated for a Best Folk Album GRAMMY in 2019.



Pickin’ for Progress

Featuring interviews with artists, politicians, activists, community leaders and stakeholders from across the state of North Carolina, Pickin’ For Progress is a docuseries hosted by Joe Troop. In partnership with VoteNC.org, Pickin’ For Progress aired fifteen episodes during 2020, as Joe traveled through North Carolina highlighting important progressive voices and aiming to increase voter turnout during a pivotal US election cycle.

Joe troop & Diego Sanchez

Formed in Argentina in 2010, Joe Troop & Diego Sanchez is a collaborative project of genre-bending acoustic world music. The duo blend their cross-cultural backgrounds as an American and Argentine, respectively, into their original compositions for banjo, fiddle, voice, and upright bass. Their music is both inspired by and a reflection of the urban melting pot of Buenos Aires, Argentina where they met.
